42 street wedding
This was one of my favorite shots from the last wedding I shot in NYC a few weeks ago. The ceremony took place on 42nd street but far over on the east side, where they still have some good restaurants (anyone who has been to Times Square 42nd street only has options like TGIF's to eat at but if you go further east you find some fancy spots like Capitol Grille).
Here we have the happy couple Christine and Nick. I had such a great time at this wedding and found everyone to be super friendly and made me feel like a guest. The food and company was great.
I really like this shot of their friends as well.. What an attractive couple:
And lastly a shot to share from the ceremony which I cropped and increased the saturation in photoshop. I feel like this has more of a film like grain and quality due to the saturation:

Jekyll and Hyde
Last night I photographed a production of Jekyll and Hyde at a theater in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
I did the shoot for Brooklyn Papers and it should appear in this Saturday's "Halloween Issue"
The cast was really great and it was nice being able to direct the actors however I wanted to. I kept saying, "Look nefarious!!" for some reason I thought nefarious was a good word to use.
Mostly I shot with my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 which is a fixed prime lens and good for low lights and in my opinion, portraits.
I also used my kit lens which is a 18-70mm but it's not as fast or as sharp as the Sigma. But when I need a wide angle such as the photos I took of the entire cast, I had to put that lens on. I also used my SB-800 in that situation.
Let me know if you see it online or in the actual paper though I'm not sure if they're going to run this photo or another one I sent.

Jordana at Red Hook
Welcome to my photography blog. The first post has to be of my love, my inspiration and my partner, Jordana.
To date I've taken some great shots of this woman and the one I just took this past Saturday afternoon in Red Hook, Brooklyn is a great capture in my opinion.
Later in the evening we had my friend Stacie's birthday party to attend and instead of bringing the normal bottle of wine or booze we decided to try something different. Jordana knew of this pie place named Steve's Authentic Key Lime Pies, so we checked out their storefront on the water.. The place ONLY makes Key Lime Pies so you figure they should be good. And they are. You can see their site here.
Welcome to my blog, please check back frequently for updates.
